APPEAL FOR DONATIONS

NCHD appeals for your help to assist us in our rescue and relief efforts initiated in close collaboration with the Provincial and District Government and the Pak Army and Navy.

More than 20 million people have been affected by these floods in Pakistan, a loss greater than the Tsunami.  90% water schemes have been damaged in flood hit areas, while sanitation and sewerage facilities lie hopelessly out of order, leaving the regions vulnerable to scrounging epidemics.

NCHD is carrying out relief operations from donations alone, and no government funds are being used for this purpose. All the staff of NCHD has contributed one-day salary to address the needs of their brethren in these times of great distress, while the Chairperson herself has contribute

d her entire month’s salary in lieu of these donations, and ensuring further medical aid. Pakistan Human Development Fund Board Members are donating generously in addition.

We appeal once again to our kind donors and philanthropists within Pakistan and abroad to step forward and stand by us to help our fellow people in their hour of want.
