NCHD Health project funded by AAR Japan has been initiated in district Nowshera, Muzaffargarh and Sukkur with effect from 26th Sep. 2010. District Officer Health, Dr Mushtaq Rasool, inaugurated the static hospital at 10:00 AM. 02 mobile units moved into field at 9:30 AM, comprising of three medical teams fully equipped with all necessary paraphernalia for providing medical assistance to the ailing flood affectees in static as well as mobile medical camps.
Chairperson NCHD, Ms. Nafisa Shah met with the CEO, National Trust for Population Welfare (NATPOW) and Secretary, Ministry of Population Welfare, on 28th Sep. 2010 to finalize the curriculum of Literacy for Family Health Initiative. NCHD will liaise and coordinate with all stakeholders, donors, development partners, government, and others, to meaningfully contribute to implementation of the National Policy on Population and Development. The joint venture between the two organizations is bound to initiate in the second week of November, 2010.
