National Commission for Human Development
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Government of Sindh, worth 4.8 million Pak Rupees, on 21st Sep. 2010 for Data Collection of Relief Camps and Villages in Flood Affected Areas.
The main features include:
1. Data Collection of Relief Camps in Flood Affected Areas
2. Data Collection of villages in Flood Affected Areas, and
3. Monitoring of flood affected camps and villages.
PDMA, with the assistance from UNHCR shall provide the budget expenses and the list of affected areas, along with 20% mobilization advance, to NCHD for the data collection. The payment shall be transferred to PHDF account.
NCHD shall engage 40 eligible staff members at each district level for 6 days for data collection of Relief camps and affected villages in all districts of Sindh province.
NCHD shall also engage 03 eligible staff members at each district for 03 months for monitoring purpose.
Ms. Humaira Hashmi, Director Operations NCHD, Sindh and Mr. Sauleh Ahmed Farooqi, Diector General, PDMA, Government of Sindh were the signatories to the MoU.
